This Privacy Policy explains how 1705 Consultancy Ltd collects, uses and protects personal data when you use the Verilog platform, including the Verilog Driver mobile application, the Admin Portal and the Client Portal.

2. Information We Collect

• Identity data — name, profile photo, SIA badge number, DBS certificate details
• Contact data — email address, phone number, home postcode
• Vehicle data — make, model, registration and colour
• Location data — GPS location during active deliveries (Driver app only)
• Job data — collection and delivery addresses, consignment details, timestamps
• Device data — push notification token, device type
• Compliance documents — driving licence, insurance certificate, SIA badge

3. How We Use Your Information

• To manage and operate secure logistics jobs and deliveries
• To generate chain of custody certificates and invoices
• To monitor driver safety during active deliveries via stop alert monitoring
• To send push notifications and SMS alerts about job assignments
• To verify driver compliance and credentials
• To maintain an audit trail for regulatory and legal purposes
• To display your Digital ID card at collection and delivery points

4. Location Data

The Verilog Driver app collects location data during active deliveries exclusively to monitor whether a vehicle has been stationary for an extended period and trigger stop alerts, and to notify the operations manager in the event of an emergency. Location data is never sold or shared with third parties for advertising purposes.

5. Legal Basis for Processing

• Contract — processing necessary to fulfil our obligations to drivers and clients
• Legitimate interests — safety monitoring, fraud prevention and audit trail maintenance
• Legal obligation — compliance with SIA licensing and regulatory requirements

6. Data Sharing

We share personal data only where necessary with clients (driver name, vehicle and SIA details on chain of custody certificates), Supabase (cloud database), Twilio (SMS/WhatsApp notifications) and Expo (push notifications). We do not sell personal data.

7. Data Retention

Job records and chain of custody certificates are retained for a minimum of 6 years. Driver compliance documents are retained for the duration of the working relationship and 12 months thereafter.

8. Your Rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, erase, restrict or port your data, and to lodge a complaint with the ICO at ico.org.uk.

9. Security

All data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access is restricted to authorised personnel only.

10. Changes to This Policy
